Hi, I am now pursuing 2 opportunities with IBM as a Client Service Executive (Band 9)and a Big 4 firm as a Director in Malaysia. I know not many of you live in Malaysia but for those in other countries, can you please provide some insights on the seniority of these 2 roles? It may not be an apple to apple comparison as one is a pure consulting firm and the other is a Technology firm. Is the Director in Big 4 considered more senior than Band 9? Band 10 is Associate Partner and the Executive levels after that so in terms of comparison....Director in Big 4 seems equal to an Band 10. This is my initial impression though but what do you think? When I checked Client Service Executives on Linked In....I see most of them are very senior people, look accomplished with at least 15 years of experience behind them and with an experience like that, they could easily be a Director in a Big 4. Hence my question. When I asked if it is possible to get a Band 10 in IBM, I was told no as the CSE roles comes with a sales target where as the Associate Partner role is more management and does not come with a sales target. Negotiations with IBM has started. Appreciate some urgent response soon. Thanks
