Senior Strategy Consultant - Tech and Media Focus - Central London with Hybrid working arrangements

£50k-£80k plus bonus, benefits

 
 

Our client is currently recruiting for a media and tech focused strategy consultant at either consultant or senior consultant level to join their growing, client-facing team. Successful applicants will have excellent academic qualifications, strong consulting skills, and a passion for technology, especially in the app, media, entertainment and advertising sectors.

Project responsibilities include involvement in all stages of their client projects and roles and responsibilities can vary. Primary responsibilities generally include:

• Managing projects and individual workstreams, including direct reports

• Providing the point of contact for clients on some of their most exciting projects

• Leading the design and development of complex analytical frameworks and financial models • Leading gathering and analysis of qual and quant data, to provide insights into client challenges, markets, customers and competitors

• Managing project resourcing, timelines and deliverables (i.e. end-to-end delivery of a small/medium project)

• Conducting large-scale research and interview programmes
• Designing and delivering client briefings, reports, workshops and presentations

• Writing proposals and leading new business initiatives

• Playing a leading role in one of our key account teams, helping to grow the clients through business development activities.

 

Experience and requirements

• Strategy consulting experience at a top strategy house (or corporate strategy team), or equivalent •

A first class degree (or minimum 2:1) from a top university

• Experience working in the media, technology, entertainment and advertising sectors (see below for more on technology)

• The ability to work effectively and flexibly, both in a team and solo to deliver projects on-time and on-budget

• Excellent communication skills and an ability to make and support a clear argument • The enthusiasm and ability to build strong working relationships with our clients

• An entrepreneurial outlook and the ambition, dedication and talent to be the very best at what you do

Experience and requirements – technology: 

• They deliver strategy consultancy and B2B research projects in the media-tech world

• These projects come in different shapes and sizes, but many involve interviewing senior technologists about business problems. They might, for example, interview the CTOs at media companies as part of formulating a go to market strategy for a public cloud platform, or shape a leading mobile OS’ product offering

• To succeed in these projects you need to have a strong baseline of knowledge about media-tech from hardware, to cloud storage and distribution, through to software/app development and AI/ML. You must know the difference between an API and an IDE, and have a passion for tech. Ideally you will have done some coding in your time, and will keep up to date with developments in the world of tech.
