I am studying by modular and it has its moments. I have met a few DL students through electives and have always been impressed at how they can stay motivated and focussed and I am not sure I would have had the same level of dedication.I remember thinking the same thing (a your question) when I started and being annoyed by answers like mine but it is as 'hard' as you make it. The trick is getting the balance right. You very quickly work out how much effort is required for the mark you want to achieve and you can then work to that level. It is a great course, I have found it incredibly useful in a number of situations and would recommend it highly to anyone. The key thing to remember is that you can pick up subjects as full time on-campus modules if you want a break from the solitary book work. Good luck!

Thanks for sharing your experience. Any decision implying huge personal committment is always difficult.I agree that everybody should find his/her own balance and this is also part of the experience, besides the content.

The workload is a shocker unless you do one or both of the following:1. Don't follow the course particularly diligently - ignore all non-assessed coursework / assignments.2. Replace as many as possible of the DL modules with block learning.I venture the second is the better option.Good luck

Did the full time MBA there - was fantastic.Having met a few of the DL guys, I think you are in for a busy time. Serious workload. You will enjoy it though. Good luck
