They seem a bit high to me. I’d knock off 10% off most of those numbers. We certainly don’t get paid that much in F&PM

Not far off..For UKI PI Consulting they are as follows:Manager starts at £55k up to about £71kSM starts at about £75k up to £120kDirector typically starts on £130kAn Executive Director grade is being introduced, effectively a non equity Partner, for specialists. No real cap on salary but by negotation depending on experience.

Don't know about any others at my grade, but I am an SM in F&PM and get paid just under £80k, incl allowances. Propect of pay rise next year is nil. I doubt any SM is getting paid above £100k.Take into account that EY don't pay a penny in bonus, and you can see why staff are so demoralised.

Reality at EY is that the bands are very loose. I know managers on c£85 who just negotiated very well.

Most parts of the Advisory business are not very happy, and F&PM in particular is one area that really suffered morale problems. We had (and still have – to a lesser extent) too many failed IBM managers come in and try to run the business as an old boys club. Sadly, they couldn’t sell a bean of business, other than a couple of public sector jobs that ended in complete farce. Many of these guys have gone, but some still remain.I wouldn’t join EY in the current market. It might be a better place in a year or twos time.
