Thinking of applying for a role as a technical business manager within retail banking which is basically an internal consultancy role.Anyone have any thoughts of this company and what they are like to work for?

I know they recruited heavily from ACN towards the end of last year - mainly to drive the consolidation of the different UK banks the purchased.So, within that team anyway, I would expect a similar feel to ACN.

Any ideas on Salary for internal consulting roles at major players like Santander? say for consultant level, Senior consultant, manager etc.

A typical org chart breakdown would be like thisCEO of the bank group (500K base £MM's OTE )MD of the retail bank (250K base £1M OTE)Director (of Finance/Risk/IT/Ops/Mking) (150K-170K base 200K OTE)Head of Function (110K - 135K and 20% bonus)Sr Manager (80K - 95K base and 20% bonus)Manager (60K - 75K base and 15% bonus)Assistant Manager (40K to 55K base and 10% bonus)Analyst Grades (20K to 40K)Asst Managers would generally have 5 years experience, Managers closer to 10, Sr managers at least 10 and Head of function often 20 or more.I work with a number of ex-MC advisory people (mostly PWC, KPMG, E&Y, etc) and those that were Sr Managers at those firms have slotted in as Sr Managers in the bankBase salary is not dissimilar. Bonuses are lower (and also not likely to be paid at certain state owned banks!) and progression is slower due to fixed org structure. However work/life balance is better.
