All,what are the most likely options after doing in-house strat work? My experience is about 65% delivery/ops and 35% strat. My future intent is to do more strat. Any suggestions as to how i keep the ball rolling on strat and move to a predominantly strat role?

Making the switch from delivery to strategy is harder than most people think. It requires lots of persistence and luck in being at the right place the right time in making this work.Once you have some strat stuff, and it seems that u do, its important to really show them that you are hungry, driven, and good at this type of work ( which is fundamentally different from delivery/execution type work). Make it known also that you prefer strat over delivery work ( if indeed , thats what u prefer). GThesew things will all help to ensure that you keep doing strat and not fall back into delivery/ops work.

Based on my exp. a few years back in an in-house strat/projects role I think it's largely down to proactively volunteering/identifying more of they type of work you like, looking for ways to move away/delegate large delivery pieces and a lots of luck! I got lucky as the business decided to set-up an in-house central project management team soon after I started in a rather nebulous divisional role responsible for "strategy and projects", so most of the execution work found a new home :)
