Avoid like the plague. Best Buy opening up in the UK in the next few months and will blow DSGi's perpetually underforming ass out of the water (or buy them... either way, bad news for new employees)

I went through their recruitment process for a role with them as Global IT Quality Manager. I liked them a lot as a team, went through three interviews ... and then nothing. Two years later I'm in a bar in Frankfurt when they ring up and offer me the job! Strange.

Nonsense. I am interviewing there and its a fantastic team lead by BCG and a good presence of the Tesco dream team that got Tesco to where it is today. Best Buy doesn't stand a chance.

Hold on a minute there, Alison. You say it's led by BCG. Now do you mean Boston Consulting Group? Because if so, that's a different company. Please clarify.Secondly, you are giving a lot of credit to a 'Tesco dream team'. Tesco is a very large company and I think it's unrealistic to attribute their success to a small number of individuals only. Remember, "there is no I in Team". Please clarify.Thirdly, what is Best Buy? Thank you.

Since I'd made the mistake of going to PA in the intervening period (seriously) perhaps I should have taken them up on the offer after all. I certainly would have done if they had offered me the job to begin with, and as usual in these cases you never know if the fault lies with the employer or the client

So they are recruiting and it seems like a mixed bag of opinions on here. I guess the only way would be to go and see for yourself?

I have been through this process and found it very tough. The first round was online tests and the 2nd round was with an ex Accen guy and an ex ATKearney guy, both tough case studies but i found it interesting that they were recruiting top strategy consultants to do some exciting work. A lot of the top directors are ex consultants with a strong retail background. I then got to interview with two directors and did not make it to offer. I am currently in the final round of tesco for a business development role there and not found it anywhere near as tough.

I just got offered 80k - have 6 years experience at LEK and am looking to a move to industry. What do you guys think? Bonus is 40% on top. I have heard its a good team - recruitment was very good, enjoyed everyone I met - apart from one very strange character.
