I have an interview coming up for a short-term contract role and have been asked to provide a daily rate I would want to be paid. I have no idea what the going market rate for daily charge outs are at the moment. Can anyone please give me an estimate?? I worked for ACN for 2.5 years as an Analyst/Consultant.I would be grateful for any advice please!!

Depends on the role - The agency should be able to brief you but....If the role is a junior consultant / PMO role I'd pay @£200 a day for those skills at the moment with your experience.Don't believe what anyone tells you, Rates HAVE COME DOWN due to the market.

Don't rely on the agency for this. They may well be negotiating to widen their margin rather than to get you the best rate.Historically you would aim to make your annual salary in 100 days i.e. if you are on 30K then 300/day. However rates have come down 10-15% so that would be say 250 per day. Scale as appropriate for your salary.
