I have 11 years experience in tech consulting/am director level at a large firm. For family reasons i have to move away from the UK soon and am thinking about my options:1 - take a career break and do a fulltime mba.2 - continue in a similar line of work and do a part time mba/exec mba.3 - take a few months off to relax and then get back into the rat race (and not do an mba)any suggestions?

Where will you be moving to? (Affects whether there are any fulltime MBAs worth doing there).

Sydney and Melbourne have decent business schools - with your experience, you'd probably be best off with an Executive MBA and continuing to earn. If for some reason you can't find work then a fulltime MBA might be worthwhile (low opportunity cost, get the MBA out of the way). Taking a few months off? - Certainly an option (and an attractive one at that if you want to see Australia and NZ), but I'm guessing you wouldn't have put the MBA options on the table if you didn't really feel in need of something developmental to your career.
