I have to go the dentist today. I tried to get the tooth-hurty appointment but they could only get me a three-hurty slot. I tried this line on my dentists receptionist nine months ago.Now when you ask her what times are available she says 'I cant do tooth-hurty'. In fact that was before she even knew who I was the second time!It amazes me as I honestly didnt think it was that funny. In fact lets be even more honest - its not that funny. Humour must be in very short supply these days. Its the recession you know.We must appear gloomy no matter what. And when I hear the distant sound of a dentists drill this afternoon.......ouch......I will know what time it really is!

Doctor: I am afraid it is bad news. You have Alzheimers and you have Cancer. Patient: Oh well. At least I don't have Cancer.
