I had a call from a headhunter this week with an opportunity at Baringa Partners. They seem to be small but have done well in employee satisfaction surveys. Does anyone know them - or work for them - and have some inside knowledge. I am particularly interested in knowing whether the culture really is that good and what profile they have in the finacial services sector.thanksCato

Used to be called Structure Group. Know a few people who work for them, all are very positive about the company/culture.

This is a genuine question I do not work for them. To the Anon who knows people who work there could you expand at all on the positives - and any negatives?

I am Baringa Partners’ Recruitment Officer and I am delighted to provide further information. Baringa Partners is a company that values its culture as highly as the work it does. We offer our employees challenging and interesting work in a supportive environment These are just a few of the reasons our staff rated working at Baringa Partners (formerly The Structure Group) so highly. We're proud to say we have been voted in the Financial Times top 10 Great Workplaces in the UK, in 2008 and 2009, based on employee surveys and a culture audit of our policies and practices. For more information please visit our website at www.baringa.comregards, Anne Marie Foster

I am looking for some insight you cannot get from a company website - particularly interested in the company culture, the kind of work they do, whether they are successful or struggling in the down turn and work / life balance.

I've worked with them in the utilities industry and they seem a pretty decent bunch of people actually, and I don't normally say that about consultants!

I will say this for them. I am trying to head hunt from there on behalf of a big four consultancy who is offering more cash and broader client base etc etc all positives despite this and numerous conversations with people who work there I have failed to convert anyone out as they are all very happy. This is annoying but does say some very postive things about the way they treat the staff.

Bit of a marmite company my mate told me. Good projects and generally people like it there, although I know some people who have left who slate them. One guy said they were really great people but screwed him on salary and were generally tight fisted - but saying that were good guys to go for a beer with etc.

The ultimate process mapping, data architecture, system architecture monkeys on the market. Most if not all don't have a clue about the business of the client and they just waffle on with recondite humiliating jargon that bamboozles inexperienced, thick and incapable IT heads of energy companies. That is a dispassionate, objective and thoroughly accurate depiction of this firmZB
