I'm hoping someone can provide me with some advice. I am thinking of doing a MSc in SCM but haven't realy got the option of Full Time or Part Time attendance due to personal circumstances.I know that a couple of of places like Liverpool do Distance Learning. My question is this: in anyone's experience are these courses worth following and investing in?I would like to try and get into SCM consulting one day and am also considering CIPS qualificastions

my advice - do it properly or not at all. Either go part-time or do the full time. Understand if personal circumstances don't help but to get the most of it you really need to spend the time with course mates and lecturers. Sorry - know it's not the answer you're looking for.

My 2 cents:1). Distance learning is tough, especially for those who don't have real life experience relevant to the subject they study;2). As I know, a qualification obtained through distance learning, compared with Part Time and Full Time, is less valued by employers (interested in hearing some different opnions on this); 3). Will a MSc in SCM better equip you for SCM consulting, or others courses which could teach you more consulting skills and techniques + some real experience in SCM area?
