I think you have made the right decision. I joined MBB as a graduate and it was only when I became an 'up or out' victim during a recession (in which a third of their staff were quietly 'counselled out') that I realised just how great life is when you don't have to spend so much of it in cubicle land surrounded by American MBAs (I love the Americans by the way, but their business schools don't half churn out some right over-competitive idiots).If one of my children ever got an offer and joined MBB, I would actually physically go there and drag them back. I wouldn't wish that experience on anybody. Life's too short.But, that's just my humble opinion...
