Just wondering if anyone knows of any firms taking on junior members at the moment. I’ve recently finished a Consulting Grad scheme and have had some really decent assignments however, it looks like my area is being downsized so maybe it’s better to jump before I’m pushed!I don’t really want to do another grad scheme as it would be a step down in terms of responsibility, however, with 1 year working in Financial Services and 1 and a bit years as a consultant, I don’t think I have any other options!Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated!

EDS CS by any chance

EDS CS is currently being broken up, large chunks are being forced out to other areas of the business. It's largely a body shop for internal accounts. Redundacny rounds are proceeding. EDS are being asked to vote for a pay cut.

why is it better to jump, wouldn;t you get some sort of package if they let you go?

The VR and CR packages will likely be very similar, and as it is mainly a cost saving exercise to leave after only 1 year the payout will be very low (Heard 2 weeks for every year)
