Hi,I recently completed an internship at a consultancy and was offered a job after graduation. The job is due to kick off in Jan 2010, but I am a bit worried about the start date getting pushed back. I want to use my contacts in the firm to try and get in sooner, if possible. All of my contacts are manger and above, with one being a senior exec. I was the highest rated intern and all of my seniors said they wanted to see me back. How do I go about asking for help? Do I call them, or drop them an email (maybe they won't respond).Thanks

Call them and arrange to meet for lunch or coffee.

Definitely give them a call. It shows that you have initiative and drive in wanting to start early.Keep in mind that given the current economic climate the bench rates at some consultancies are high, so they may have trouble staffing you on a project. But theres no harm enquiring, and at least it shows your keen and eager.
