The most relevant junior role would be a junior role in consulting - the job title is typically "Analyst". Assuming you have already looked at Analyst positions, but not been able to secure one, the next step is to consider your current position, and what you will need to do to close the gap between that and a position in consulting. You can enter consulting from a number of directions, and there are a wide range of junior positions that would be suitable. Therefore, you should start with questions such as: What is the subject of your degree? What experience do you have? Where are you situated geographically and how mobile are you?

Childish. I guess this is what we get at half-term.

It's the position you're required to adopt and hold for 3-5 years when you join MBBB and Big 4 firms from university. It's difficult to describe without diagrams, but there's a reason Analysts are also called Anal-ists at these firms. The position is best described as grabbing your ankles, biting your tongue and switching off your brain.
