Hi,I have an offer from ACN, but after reading this forum am wondering whether it will go ahead. The ACG website ways they are still hiring, but on here says they are removing.Are they still taking in grads? what's going on here?Thanks

Congratulations on your offer Don. Do you have a confirmed start date?I wouldn't be surprised if ACN as still hiring as they still need to continuously refresh the bottom of the pyramind with new blood, while managing outflow of the ranks above. They still need to promote their staff (although that's slowed down during in this climate), so will need people at the levels below to fill their roles.However I take your point as the recent redudancies have also affected the ACG group as well. But if you recieved an offer from ACN then I'd recommend taking it up. For all the complaints about ACN I still believe it's a great company to help build your career and you will get a lot out of your experience there.Good luck.

Thanks Bill.I have accepted, due to start Jan 2010. Was a bit concerned about how/where I would fit in and the impact of redundancies on people coming in. Thanks for the advice.

Don....If you have some time to kill and still want to join accenture but in rosier times then take the time to upskill. Start dates are also being pushed back, albeit on half pay in the mean time.Teach First is a teaching and leadership programme supported by accenture for two years. Work for accenture during the hols between year 1 and 2, then join after year 2 if you like the look. Hedging your bets......

Thanks Grad,This may be worth looking into, but I have already started additional training. Im completing my initial stage of CIMA whilst completing my final year, after which I will go onto the next levels. If nothing else, hopefully this tops up my skills and helps differentiate my skill set from peers.
