Specifically related to pursuing opportunities in consulting as an experienced hire, is it worthwhile doing a GMAT or GRE for the purposes of further strengthening a CV (assuming the score is good of course!)?

To whatever your name is, I have the following advice:The GMAT/GRE stuff is excellant to have if you have a god score, it shows mental agility, ability to work with accuracy and speed and the ability to absorb and synthesize information. All in all, a true test of ability and motivation. However for the purposes of getting into consulting (or the type that the ACN renegage posse think is consulting), all you need to do is menton erudite, arcane, non-sensical and thoroughly ambiguous phrases like process mapping optimisation, IT confirguration management strategy, business process optimisation, IT strategic management implementation and any other-wordly phrases your brain can come up with. By doing this, you will undoubtedly attract the attention of the ACN head honchos, even in this time of continued economic dislocation and uncertaintyZB

assuming you want to join a real consultancy - and not the charlatans described by ZB - that may be an asset. If you aim at ACN and co, a certification in SAP or Oracle would impressed them more. especially if you add "strategy" to the name of the training.

There is no good reason to put GMAT/GRE scores on your application. Including them would suggest that they are your highest achievement. If that is the case, you would not be a viable candidate even for ZB's little firm in Norwich. Recruiter may also assume that you are in the midst applying to MBAs, and not serious about the job.

I think you can include your score if you are a fresh graduate. Otherwise your experience matters much more.
