Hi guys, Just wondering what your opinions are on the UCL msc. econ for applying to MBB and other strat cons. Is this the sort of course/uni they would respect?

It won't help, but it won't hurt either. Effectively, it will confer no advantage above and beyond a decent undergraduate degree alone, but it's unlikely anyone will regard it as a wasted year or hold it against you.

Assuming you're a graduate so may be worth doing something useful like this MSc in UCL for a year whilst the market recovers from the glut of deferred grad jobs. UCL is an excellent uni and your subject, Economics, will be useful in terms of knowledge and your quantitative skills (econometrics and finance will help your career). Alternatively why not do it at LSE, better reputation globally or get a job an do the graduate diplomas on offer at LSE in Economics...just don't hang about deciding
