Search the threads on this board for Consulting Point and all shall be revealed. As a note to Tony of Top-C: perhaps you could look into "vetting" or validating your advertisers as this impacts your site's credibility overall.

Just had a quick search of the Consulting Point website and they've loads of roles live on their site - so can only think you hit a temporary glitch.Bob - as regards vetting of advertisers, we have turned business away from those who we consider to be questionable advertisers. In the case of Consulting Point though, I've known the founder Rakesh Pabbi for a number of years and wouldn't have any hesitation in recommending our readers speak with him. Bob - we have 150,000 readers and on this forum there are just a handful of vocal detractors. Hardly a damning majority.I put more store in my own experiences of dealing with them and in the fact that Rakesh consistently scores highly in our reader vote of the top recruitment consultants. That is based on thousands of survey respondents rather than the handful who vent their disappointment on this forum, so is far more representative.Of course there will be some people who've not had a great experience of working with them, but then that's true of any recruitment firm you'd care to mention - especially in the current climate where they simply have to focus their efforts on those most likely to secure a role via them.Tony RestellTop-Consultant.com

Tony, you should stop playing censure. This has outdated, freedom of speech is wide spread around the world. If you are not prepared to allow people to voice their opinion, I think that your website should be discontinued. It is unfair to play a moderator who defends the interest of your dear ones...

Freedom of speech is alive and well in the UK unlike many countries where those who express brave opinions are faced with prison, torture and even death. However freedom of speech is underpinned by laws on libel and slander. If you feel that one particular recruiter is SO poor that you need to make more than a passing criticism, then you shoud do so. Simply have the balls to put your name to the comments.

REC

Exactly. That's the problem with this criticism of CP, we have no idea who is providing the criticism and whether it is true. There have already been comments on here from people who would now think twice about using them purely from what they have read via the forum, which is handy for any competitors of CP.

I absolutely agree with REC. Having followed this criticism for a while now I cannot help but notice that there is a conscious effort to discredit the integrity and service of TC/CP from a select few.Inspite of Tony going above the odds to reply to concerns the responses definitely don't sound credible.Having had a great service from this forum over the past few years as I made the move from Industry to Consulting and then my progression in consulting I think it would be great if we focus our efforts on helping each other on different issues rather than discrediting one company/competitor(may be)

But...
08.07.9 00:00

@ABI posted a genuine concern with the "services" of CP with a detailed example of what actually happened. My rationale for doing so was to help others & hope they did not have time wasted in the already stressful job hunting process. I would say that matches your stated purpose of this forum.

Like But... I just described my experience with CP and as I've said 1 was excellent, while all my contacts with CP's founder were very poor (but not worse than with a few other recruiters).I don't try to discredit CP, I'm not a competitor, I'm not even looking for a job at the moment. But I'm mad when I see threads criticising them disappear as it happened 2 or 3 times in the past.If they were threads on other recruiting firms I had contact with I would also give my opinion on them, good or bad, based on my experience.
