Hello folks, I am writing to get any practical advise or your thoughts about my challenge to get into the consulting industry.I have 8+ years experience in IT field, MBA in another European country and am a Japanese national. Since 3 years ago, I've been working for a IT department (Programme Mgmt, Budgetary Control, Business Process improvement..etc) of the City based (but 2nd tier) IB.I've applied for quite a lot of deemed relevant positions for my experience of "major" consulting firms - the reality is I don't even get to the interview. Also tried some agent advertising positions but no luck.I am now 33 yrs and I can say I have decent competence in the area of IT, Project Management and Business Analysis in particular.I am truly interested in Consulting job, Business Process/Operation improvement in particular, but is it not just feasible for someone who hasn't worked for any "consultancy firm" before and only have "not particularly known" companies on my CV? Am I trying something with very little chance?
