Hey All,Can anyone recommend any sources for research on PwC. I'm applying as an experienced hire to their IT Effectiveness department.Have used the Top Consultant guide (pretty useless to be honest), have scoured their website (which doesn't sell itself very well!).Would appreciate any pointers that google isn't throwing up!Cheers

"scoured their website (which doesn't sell itself very well!)."Or, from an insider's point of view, have you considered that it oversells itself in many parts. Do a reality check before progressing your application. Think carefully whether you want to join the firm that is, or the firm that you wish it was.

Interesting point about the over-selling . I interviewed with them some time ago and was told that I would be meeting some "very senior people". OK, at least a junior partner or a director, I thought. You can therefore imagine my disappointment when I subsequently found myself sat in front of some wispy-haired 30 year-old kid giving me the Simon Cowell treatment and contantly making reference to "my firm" (as if he personally owned PWC or something, which he didn't).

Off the subject a little bit...Please could someone tell me how PWC Consulting is divided? ie. Ops, Technology, etc. Also how many people are there in each service area? Thanks in advance for your help!

I interview candidates, I wouldn't worry too much about knowledge of how PwC is structured. More important is to understand the type of services offered and how you would contribute to those. Our web-site descriptions aren't great - partly because a number of our consulting groups are ridiculously busy at the moment.

"Our web-site descriptions aren't great - partly because a number of our consulting groups are ridiculously busy at the moment."What tripe. I've never seen the bench so full and so unproductive. The reason the website's sh*t is because nobody can be ars*d to update it - it's not like it's billable work.
