I am interested to know if anyone here has known someone who was offered a Voluntary redundancy package - only to refuse it. What happened to them? Did they still get staffed onto projects, or did they ultimately get made redundant swiftly afterwards anyway?

At my firm, we had 1 person who stayed on for 6 months after turning down a voluntary package - they were treated fine by most of the office, they eventually moved on to a role in industry

In the company where I worked, if you turned it down you were 'managed out' within 6 mths.When I was offered the package shall we just say that it was implied that you would be better off taking the package than staying. No, I was not a poor performer or had there been any issues with my work - I was just on the bench and the company had nothing in the pipe line!You have been warned.
