-How would it appeal not mentioning any extra-curricular activities on the CV?!! Would that reduce the chances of getting an interview? (Considering the following: MBA (not top tier though), with 8 years of progressive experience.)-However if various activities were held early in life, say from the age of 8 till 17 years old. (e.g. taking leading roles as fraternity member, acting and dancing in various events, sports team at school, other roles and responsibilities in campings, etc.) - bottom line not during college years or after.Would that be of interest/worth to be briefed/highlighted or not at all?P.S. location: middle east – (if it does matter)Thank you in advance :)

Extra-curricular activities are not usually worth putting on an experienced-hire CV, unless they have a particular relevance to the job, or give a particular insight to the individual's personality.I'd allow one or two lines at most, and for current activities only. I wouldn't recommend putting activities from age 8-17 on your CV as it would be too much of a stretch to claim they had relevance to the job.I presume from the MBA and 8 years of experience that you are in your thirties. As such, I expect you probably have enough relevant experience to fill your CV entirely with targeted points demonstrating your ability to do the job at hand in a work setting. Do so.These comments are for job applications in Europe/North America/Australasia. However, I don't have the impression that Middle East employers have seized upon the transferable-skills and soft-skills concepts in a big way yet. Therefore, the more you stick to clear work-based evidence, the better.

I believe formal education is valued quite highly in the middle east, so unless it's a truly terrible school, for a middle-east targeted CV you should definitely mention the MBA and any work-related training you've had.

Agreed with the above respinse. In the middle east, education matters a whole lot more than western countries. Definately mention MBA. They dont care too much about extracurricular activities unless it has direct impact on job. I would leave them out, favouring a more direct clear and concise CV with education and experiences only.
