This want to be a very provocative question for all senior consultants, principals and partners out there in McK, Bain, BCG, Booz Allen Hamilton etc...etc...Don't you think that the big and most prestigious consulting firms of the planet have a great load of responsability on their shoulders for the not-difficult-to-predict crisis we are experienceing now in the anglo-saxon world and beyond?Do you really think that our friends at the big ones should be kind of re-educated?

I know that especially McKinsey is strong promoter of Economic Growths at all cost, ignoringincome distribution and public debt. These consulting companies are living and promotingthe American way of running business, which as we know is starting to fail.I think McKinsey blunders goes in line with how people misuse management consultants. Often times, because of political issues within the companies, they end up being a tool to forward the agenda of a particular faction rather than truly being able to provide objective recommendations.

The credit crunch is not their fault as such. They are just growing their businesses and making money. In good or bad times, they are always the answer. Ultimately, the clients are responsible for their own problems. Believing the BS which routinely comes so confidently out of the mouth of a consultant is the fault of the decision maker and not of the BS'er
