Needing advice

Hello Anyone,First of all, sorry for my poor english, but I'm not from UK or US and have only a mediocre english.I'd like to ask you for an important career advice.I'm presently working for the Green Dot for 2 years now, at Strategy & Operation Consulting (mainly, Supply Chain projects). I'd like to apply for an top MBA in the next year (or, at least, the better I can get in), and so I need to gain a notable international experience (in a good company) and to improve my english. The problem is: I don't have any idea of what jobs and companies I could approach with my experience.I always read in this and other forums that 2 years experience, like mine, in Greed Dot or similar should be well valued. But from which companies? And for which kind of jobs? I'm starting looking for purchasing or procurement jobs (because of Suplly Chain experience), but I'm sure about that. As a "supposed-to-be" strategy consultant, I don't have any specific market or process experience, so why should any company look for me?And, I'd really like to relocate abroad in a bizarre country (that's just for around a year, after all, and I'd love that), like Africa or Asia states or whatever, but I really dunno where to start.Any advice, please? I don't know anyone I could ask.Thank you really much for any help or advice you could share.

"I always read in this and other forums that 2 years experience, like mine, in Greed Dot or similar should be well valued"Don't believe the hype... most people who say this got their information from green dot. They are just trying to feed you any b.s so you can join up. Trust me, your experience, especially at the green dot, is not that valuable. In terms of exit options, you can probably do supply chain work in the industry, possibly some operations work as well. You are not a real strategy consultant though (you are more operations then anything else)... and you should not expect to be offered any strategy work because of your experience.

is the above poster really true? i'm nearing the end of my 2 years at the green dot, and am very concerned that i will have little/no careers options outside of Consulting (ops consulting)

Unless you stay at least 5 years in consulting to learn the ins and outs of a specific industry, IMO there are no interesting exit options.Consulting is BS until you reach sufficient experience level.

I worked as a SCM consultant at Acn for 11 months, took the VR and went travelling. On my return I started applying and got 3 offers from leading companies. I am now a Procurement Manager in a leading telecoms company.

What "skills" do a procurement manager have? I mean what skills do you guys who write such posts have?Does everyone in consultancy think they are god and others are below them or are they so insecure about who they are that they judge everyone around them!Difficult to fathom.
