What's the banter re putting client names on your CV?I'm a 1st year analyst and have so far worked with some bigdogs but not sure if I can cite them on the CV. Please advise wise ones.

Not on CV, but you may be able to allude to them in interview depending how sensitive the deal was.

You should describe the industry they are representing or anything else that would be of interest for your potential employer. The fact that they were BIG alone does not mean much. Start with an industry and than what is is that you've done By the way - I would not recommend mentioning in the interview (off the records so to say) who they were - if your future employer values loyalty and compliance as well as trust and honesty ... well, what would they think of this behaviour? If you are coming from an institution that has a good name in its industry everyone would roughly know what type of clients you were dealing with anyway!

It depends a lot on the company you work for. I work for a smallish consultancy who win a lot of repeat business with top companies in the sector. We put their names on our website so I wouldn't hesitate put them on my CV - just wouldn't allude to what we have worked with them on.
