How many years is one expected to spend at M4 (Manager) grade in Deloitte?I have heard people get promoted to senior manager in two or three years but how long is recommneded by the Firm? What target promotion date is a manager provided with if they make manager on 1st January 2009?

Fortes fortuna adiuvat!Its not the time, its what you do with it. You can languish at your level for as long as you like, to move on you need to make connections and use them. Oh nad you need to NOT get stuck in long term projects they kill careers, well in consulting anyway.

TPD would be 2013

Four years at Manager level but you can get promoted earlier.

I always agreed about long term engagements, but looking at how colleagues did this year those who had their TPDs brought forward were all on long term projects where they had the opportunity to grow their role. Difficult to do on a 3 week strat. piece. So maybe it's not so bad.
