Top energy consultants?
oil analyst

I have 2 years experience in energy focused management consuolting at one of the big non-strat firms.I want to move to a dedicated energy focused firm and have been looking at Wood Mackenzie and Schlumberger so far. Any other firms I should look at? My experience has been downstream so far.

You should take a look at Structure... I've heard good things about their culture / worklife balance etc.

Only if you're ex-ACN! About 75% of their workforce at last count I think...

I am actually, haha. However I don't want to go to another Accenture; I'd prefer to be in a firm which isn't based around IT and would enable me to learn about energy.

Well you certainly won't get the energy info you require at Structure..they are basically all IT charlatans as most of them learnt thier trade at the ACN academy. As for energy..there is none better than Mck

Try Trindent www.trindent.com their biggest clients are Exxon, Petro-Canada, Valero and a few others in the pipeline business. Not an IT shop, they have a heavy downstream focus on refining, pipelines, oil loss etc.

Good to see the Trindent US HR Manager giving a plug - I like it! Do you have offices or exposure in the UK?

Hm ... where I've been able to compare I would say Accenture Strats group does better quality work than McKinsey energy. But, I am biased.
