I recently worked on a project with a few Hitachi Consulting consultants and was pleasantly surprised by their professionalism and quality of work - built a good rapport with the team. Has anyone else had a good experience with them or was I a lucky one off?

I've met their Managing VP David Bailey - a very forward thinking guy. Hear the organisation is very people focused as well which is refreshing. Whispers say they've started a new Telecomms practice and are likely to start something with Health as well. With a name like Hitachi they probably have the backing to make it happen!

Are they mostly IT and engineering??

More business I'd say..as they acquired a business consultancy called impact plus...

Does Hitachi Consulting do all the consulting for the Hitachi group globally?

Hmm couldnt say - I know the headquarters is in Dallas, and they have offices in Spain, Portugal and Germany I think. If you are looking to do some European travel, but don't want to be in the big 4, probably worth considering them..

I know them from the defence/ security sector. Delivered some really good work and impressed us

Are these all genuine posts, seem to follow the same format? If so I'm impressed at the turnaround. I know a former Partner here who left because he was bringing in business that should have been completed on, but was frustrated by a lack of decent resources in Hitachi and apparent inability to bring on enough competent new people.

Do you know if they still need business change people?

Do they have a big defence and security presence then or was this just a small project?
