I'm wondering what the beach is looking like right now in the bigger strategy firms (MBBB, RB, ATK, OCC, Monitor, Mercer). I work for one of these and 1/4 - 1/2 aren't working, although it is December. What's it looking like in your firms? And are 'the management' getting nervous?

I work for one of the MBB and the picture is similar here. Management line is "don't panic, things are bound to pick up in the New Year", but it's noticeable quieter than the last couple of Christmases. Lots of closed-door meetings, and phone calls being transferred to meeting room lines... which is significant if you're suspicious of mind.

It is ironic when someone uses a conjunction to begin a sentence in which they complain about another's grammar.

I can understand some focus on grammar, given our professions, but I’d really like to know more about what is happening. I'm interested in the content. My firm, listed in the first post, is struggling and there is a large question mark over January. Recruitment has slowed dramatically. What is happening out there?

At a continental Europe office for one of the MBB. While business is slow, the pipeline for January is not bad. Several regular clients starting projects, some continuing projects, and a few new clients needing help with the crisis as well.

Jesus Christ! Could you guys cut the crap about grammar. What is with you guys and good sentence formations? Who cares, honestly! Grow up and start focusing on the real issue!!!
