Looking for more firms to apply to and came across a small consulting firm called Qedis. Anybody know them and how good they are?

Dunno. Their logo seems to have the strapline "Highland worldwide", whatever that means. To me, it suggests that they use a lot of jargon and forget that not everybody knows what on earth they're talking about. I suspect most people wouldn't have a clue how to pronouce their name either, given that there is no U after the Q. Little things like this can give you big insights into how a company is run.

I quote their website... 'Qedis is part of Highland Worldwide, an international network of consulting companies with over 1,100 consultants covering the UK, USA, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands and Eastern Europe'. As far as I know they were founded by ex ACN consultants. Pretty good rep, got some good people there from what I've heard but I've not seen anyone at close range to judge for myself.

spoke to these guys a few years ago. Sincere, well intentioned but got the impression they were generally buzzword heavy and generally clueless about what they wanted to do. Seemed to be doing well in a low volume body shop model in the rising tide environment we've had over the last few years. Whether they have the savvy to survive a brutal downturn is anyone's guess. You can think of them to an extent as a sort of extension of the typical Deloitte or ACN practice peddling generic consultants with appropriate lip service to "CIO agenda", "Transformation" and "Value from IT" etc.

I've got a friend that works at Qedis - and he loves it. A really nice company doing some great work in the CIO arena. They've grown quite rapidly - i think they are at around 80 after 4 years... and they are still recruiting at the moment - which is a good sign. He keeps talking about the small company feel, even though they're growing rapidly - and very different to the big4. They've got some big name clients too... And replying to the responses above - i'd definitely say they know what they're trying to do for their clients.
