Hi!I have an interview coming up with Logica and would like to have an 'insider view' of the company. Could anybody help me in this regard please?I came to know that they laid off thousands of employees as recently as April this year. So why are they now recruiting (I even heard they conducted a recruitment evening in October)?How is the work culture (read politics)?What could I expect in the interview? Would it be normal CV based and competency-based interview or could involve case-study, etc?What is the staffing and utilisation policy? Is there scope for moving across verticals?How much say wold I have in selecting my assignments? Would there be any compulsion on me to accept international assignments?Thanks!

yeah their doing some 'head hunting' just now, but in the current economic conditions unless your really crap at your job, dont move!

Where will the interview be held, Central London, Surrey?I was with them for 3 years, had enough as there never seem to be enough interesting work going around. Also, the pay was quite poor. They are probably recruiting for some specific roles, as taxman said, if you can help it, dont move.

Logica is not the company it used to be ! It has a good foothold in the public sector and central govt. areas but doesn't do the interesting space or telecomms work it used to.It is also about to close Stephenson House in Central London and relocate to a business park north near the M25 !Redundancies are in the post as well by the way !

how do they compare with EDS

Those who attended their recruitment eveing on October 15th at the Tate did so in response to an advertisement by Logica and, as per that ad, they were offering six-figure salary (not package).Could they really make such an offer especially in these times?

Must have been a printing error - i.e. they forgot the decimal point...

Logica's reputation is still good in industry in terms of you leaving there with technology skills.I'd rather work for Logica than EDS ! Anyday !

6 figure package not salary - i still have the adi assume this is a salary of 80

I am suprised that they are offering that much as they are known to be poor payers. I am guessing these are for executive roles as the pay rises and bonuses were curbed for quite a few years following their merger with CMG.

I know someone that left Logica and came back 2 years later on £65K basic. So it is feasible. He certainly wasn't an exec.
