Hi, I'm an Associate in Consulting with 4 years of experience, primarily in Supply Chain and Procurement work.I'm thinking of ducking out of Consultancy for a while, but don't want to end up in a very slow moving industry role. For those people who wish to work in Procurement, what are your opinions on the best industry employers? To define best, please use the following as a guide: good pay, London based only, reasonable hours, fast moving, a company where Procurement has good standing. Thanks in advance.

As a current GSK employee soon to be moving to PwC. I would say stay away from GSK due to the current climate in Pharma..A lot of change is happening but will take agood few years for this all to kick in. Our procurement teams have taken a big hit and those kind of roles will not be safe for a while yet

Tesco and Reckitt Benckiser definitely. Procurement is pretty stagnant at Mars (in UK anyway) but I would recommend looking at Nestle for supply chain.

Thanks for the reply guys - much appreciated. I will use this as a starting point. One further question, I've used Recruitment Agencies to move from a Consultancy to another Consultancy, however, I've never before worked in industry.Could you please recommend to me good agencies in the Procurement field for industry roles? Thanks again.

BT is a nice place to work and central in the City, but their Procurement is a bit messy and short-term

Hi, interesting and some good responses. I'm thinking of the same, but could you let me know the good recruiting agencies that you used for Procurement consulting roles. Cheers
