What is everyone's view one Remote Support, and/or Web Conferencing? Does anyone else find it a pain to install ActiveX, or even the downloads at the front end of WebEx / Microsoft Live Meeting? Who do you suggest when a client starts to look into remote support or Web conferencing in gneneral? In my view Web Conferencing will be one of the largest aspects of IT in the future, what with the so called 'credit crunch' and the petrol prices soaring people are travelling less but want to continue with their day to day tasks and meetings online, more and more questions are being asked about this and it's becoming more and more of a necessity rather than something nice to have.Obviously with this, there are more and more companies starting that offer so many different products, who are the best in your opinion and why? Thanks,Chris

Chris webex conferences are only good for a limited audience, usually people connect and ignore hoping that someone else has picked up the ball, usually more prevalent if your on the edges of the issue. In my opinion the problems that WebEx conferences have are the main issue combined with the inability to hear tone or see body language. There are many conferencing tools out there, my preference google talk, does what it says on the tin.As for the credit crunch, there is no credit crunch the $ is simply being re-valued and the saudis therefore put up their oil price to ensure they still get value out of the $.This is very prevalent in India where salaries this year have to rise 25% to get them the same $ value as 6 months ago.So1. Meetings and people, not technology2. No credit crunch, just a corection in the currency and housing markets3. google talk
