Hi,I am a recent engineering graduate (1st class Masters) and am starting a graduate job in September. In the meantime, I am very, very broke. I have started temping but have noticed that, being taxed and all, the meagre hourly salary doesn't allow for much. Does anyone knows of any agency/people/firms that employs new grads for research work that pays well and looks good on the CV (apart from freshminds)? Am I the only one in this situation?

"the meagre hourly salary doesn't allow for much"Though on the hourly basis, it's about the same as consulting pays. The difference is the number of hours work the temp job offers.I recommend making the most of your relatively time-rich (albeit cash-poor) summer before the tables are flipped. Either that or get a second job to get used to the hours. It would also look suitably good on your CV.

True, unfortunately, my financial status requires working sduring the summer and earn a decent amount without sacrificing "pub fare". I would just like to kill 2 birds with one stone by earning money and experience somewhere good. Anyone has any suggestions? Thanks,Pete
