Please can anyone give the grades at accenture and approximate number of years experience to reach each level? This would be useful to gauge where I should be aiming for as an experienced applicant. I have found the following by searching through past posts:Analyst A1Analyst A2Consultant C1Consultant C2Consultant C3Manager M1Managers M2Managers M3Is this in the correct order? E.g. is a C3 above a C2? I read you spend approx 18 months at each level but this cannot be true as it would then take 9 years to reach manager.

1 yr at each level except sometimes you will be at the promotion level for longer. e.g. you may end up being an A2 for 18 months before you make consultant.

What is the difference between A1 and A2. Have seen people that satyed less than others in the firm but became A2's faster than those that stayed longer any reason for this?

As before, A1 to A2 is just a progression within level, i.e after 1 year you will move from being an A1 to A2.I have no idea what the second question is.

Had a talk with a manager in GER.They offered me an A3 position with already nearly 3 years of experience. They only counted 18 months of my consulting career to be valid for there requirements - LOL, I´ve never said "thank you"!

yeep, rule of thumb is to take what ever you have outside of accenture and divide by 2.

The second question is how can someone that started before another person still be an A1 and the one that started afterbe A2?

Dont see the difference between what an A1 and a C2 do on projects, sometimes the A1's get better roles the system is soooooooo freakiiiiiiiing flawed

Thank god for that, I was starting to get worried that when I'm promoted I might actually have to pull the finger out and open a spreadsheet or make a powerpoint!

Rather than a flawed system, the reason why everyone from A1 through C3 can essentially be doing the same role is that none of them have developed skills beyond those they already had at age 16. You don't develop any skills of value at ACN and the only thing you learn over those five years is how ACN works. In the interests of balance, exactly the same can be said of DC and CG.

Lots of people appear to get very bitter when they don't get promoted.
