I am an IT Service Owner in a best-in-class FMCG company with 2 years of experience after graduating with B.S. in Information Systems. I am planning to get an MBA and move to IT Consulting. Is this reasonable? or is it too early?

A sensible MBA would get you a job in IT consulting it is true; however most decent MBA programmes in Europe will not accept people with less than three years of work experience. Although the MBA will get your foot in the door, you're likely to come in at the lowest level or one notch above because a lot of tech consultancies do not value the qualification, so the financial return on your investment may not be that great in the short and medium term. ECPS - I did not say whether they _should_ value an MBA, only that many don't.

If your goal is to move to IT consulting, you could do this straight from your current position. No need for an MBA. Having said that, you might actually be in a better position already, i.e., IT Consulting may be a step down. Put it this way: it's easier to get into IT consulting than it is to get onto a programme with P&G, etc.
