Would anyone be able to help me understand the salary structure is A.T. Kearney? Have some offers and trying to work out what progression would look like financially. I’ve looked at top-consultant’s salary report and am now looking for what ATK offers specifically.I believe that Business Analysts earn 35k (GBP), Senior Business Analysts 45-50k and bonuses. Any idea what associates and the more senior positions earn? Could anyone help?

BA £30-35kSBA £35-45kAss. £45-65kMgr. £65-90kPrincipal / Officer £100k+ baseSalaries are in line with the market - as ever, differences between individuals are much more significant than differences between firms.

I think anon is in the right ball park although I would say it is roughly an extra 10%. This would be for just the base salary and would not include the bonus on top.

Having spoken to an insider, the numbers quoted by anon are too low (at least for the associate level and above.) 10% - 20% higher seems to be the range quoted by my source.EC

I would expect the salaries to be higher than quoted by anon above, as these salaries can be matched by firms where there is less pressure and shorter hours

The Associate band is wider than suggested above - there are Associates on more and less than 45-65. Otherwise this is a fair reflection of base pay here at ATK and competitors.

mmm....no associate at ATK will be on 45k - i can promise that!!!!The numebrs will be higher than given above - without going into too much detail I would take the top of anon's range as actually the bottom of the real range. dott

So if you moved from an SBA to an Associate, would your salary jump from 45-50k to 60k? How would the salary changes work?

There certainly are Associates on 45k and potentially less - e.g. people that the firm hires and seconds from the not-for-profit sector, and those transferred from offices in low-cost locations. Simple matter of supply and demand.

associates get upto 20% bonus - confirmedin Jan and paid in Jan.And i'd like to repeat that no associate in ATK will be on 45k - regardless of where they come from. Whats the point associates discuss there salary - they'd just end up pissed off and leaving

Hi DotT,I hope its ok to ask you a quick question as you are in the know; roughly how difficult and how long does it take to move from SBA-to-Associate and Associate-to-Manager? Any general advice to new joiners; things to look at in advance?Thank you

Well I don't know much about AT Kearney, but I do know they pay pretty well! So, pay-wise, I'm sure you won't be too disappointed! But please, choose a career and a firm that you will ENJOY working for! Money is great, but it really isn't everything (even though it may feel like that from time to time)!
