My company encourages secondments to other parts of the company around the world. (or so they say). I thought I would call their bluff and attempt to go for a secondment somewhere.Where would be a nice place to go to? My choices are Singapore, India, South Africa, and possibly the US.I think English is the business language in all these countries.

Sing deffo. Great jumping off point, weekends in Thailand, MY, Oz etc... socially sing is small and clean but you can have a great time down Clark or Boat Quay.... I'd jump at the chance of Sing

I'd go for Singapore or the US personally, depending on the length of the secondment. Don't go out to Singers for more than six months or you will go out of your mind with boredom.India could be good on the CV but your experience largely depends on where you get sent. South Africa would probably be good fun but won't add much to your CV.

What company is this? I'd love if my firm took that sort of approach.Ideal would be thailand on a fat ex pat package.
