Hi,I wanted to start this thread to get some feedback from the group on comparative view on supply chain advisory / consulting practises across PwC, E&Y, Deloitte, Accenture and big ticket strategy houses MBBB. In terms of:(1) differences in nature of work, between big 4 and strategy ones as well as among big 4 firms (2) compensation packages comparison ie. base salaries and bonuses(3) If one is thinking of moving back to industry after couple of years, is it better to be in big 4 or strategy or it doesnot really matter?(4) any specific recommendation i.e which firms might be most reputed ones for the supply chain area....Thanks

can't answer your q's directly but e&y seem to be shaping up well. The director there is a good guy and has a decent rep. Deloitte is an interesting team and the work was quite varied as well as the quality of assignments - this was about 2 years ago so all may have changed. Some of the same faces are still around at Deloitte and there were a lot of hires that did not make the grade and since left.

Deloitte use a well known and frankly not very good RPO company which skewed their hiring towards volume, hindering quality and as such many were hired who were not up to the job and have left as buyer said. Be careful what they are doing with your CV as the one in the hands of the line manager interviewing you may be a version you don't even recognise...

just thinking of your 4th question I would consider the following as having a decent image in this area supply imo, in no particular order...ATK, E&Y and PwCThis is based on being a previous procurer of consultancy services within industry (electronics) as well as now working within MC

Concerning the last question; as far as I known ATK is well known for their supply chain knowledge.
