You should start out with some manageable steps, such as avoiding reading industry and business press. Try not to pick up the FT a couple of times a week.You will find it harder to avoid entering the MC industry as a consultant specialising in the NHS/healthcare sector, than as a generalist.You should seriously consider not doing an MBA, MPA or specialist Masters in Healthcare Administration as these can only help with bridging the knowledge gap.
