Hi guys,I know this isn't strictly consulting but I think there are probably people on this board who can offer valuable opinions.What are the pros and cons of taking up a graduate job with Macquarie's I.T. group when compared to a large IT implementer i.e Cap, ACN, IBM, etc.?Roughly, what kind of salary could one expect at Mac? Exit Options?Thanks

mac bank is a good place in to work, they pay well but expect you to work hard and really deliver.The other implementers that you mentioned, stay away from them, especially ACN and IBM as they work you round the clock and pay avg.

I work with Macquarie alot in various areas; there people are highly profficient, competent...but as mentioned before are worked extremely hard.Not sure about corporate support functions but the whole attitude of the place seems good to an outside observer.Nice view from floor 30 upwards of their offices too!

Acn don't work you round the clock. I work 9-6 and 9-5 on a friday so working round the clock is way off the mark.

Where as Macquarie advisory certainly do, regularly get e-mails and calls at 3am etc.
