I have been working for the civil service in a niche role on and off for the last 40 years.My career so far has afforded me lots of travel to glamorous locations. I have had to deal with some very stressful situations and worked with some high maintenance characters along the way, but have always delivered results and landed on my feet.I feel that my experience would be invaluable in a consulting environment and now dream of working in an SI&T role at ACN / IBM / Cap.Honestly opinions please - am I setting my sights too high?Any tips on the interview process would be great too.

last 40 years? shouldnt you be thinking about retiring soon?in any case your definitely not setting your sights too high... the work you do in SI&T roles at IT consulting firms is pretty much trash work that anyone can do (testing, coding, documentation etc)
