Don't waste time listening to people bawl on about themselves. You're there to sell not to have a mother's meeting. The pattern should be:Shake hands with person 1Deliver elevator speech to person 1Move onShake hands with person 2Deliver elevator speech to person 2Move onShake hands with person 3Deliver elevator speech to person 3Move onEtc.

To be honest you are unlikely to build a good connection with anyone by pumping their hand and giving them a spiel. Try and be genuine, take an interest in people, think of ways you can help them, check the attendee list before to find people you might like to chat with. Try and follow up connections with an email.

I have no prob networking - basically coz its a mans world and Im a cute blond - so I dont have to 'work it' - they come to me, thank god, coz other wise I would be stuck too!

Cute you may be, but spell 'blonde' you can't. Typical.
