hi anon, from what I have seen so far, is that PE houses are very keen to get ex-consultants in. As you say most of them are after strategy backgrounds (browsing through Permira's team short profiles on their website makes quite an iteresting read). However, very often, they also value Big4 experience. What I have seen is that they appreciate transactional (advisory) services as these guys did loads of due diligence work. I am not sure if change mgt is a hot topic for them though....if you really want to make the move, I suggest to do some other work within your company, to get topics such as valuation, due diligence, cash flow forecasting etc. on your CV. Are you doing a qualification with your big4 (cima/aca etc)? might add some value for them too...good luck
