Hi,I would like to know how Hewitt Associates are perceived in the consulting market, particularly as regards Change, Human Capital and Outsourcing consulting. * Do they get good assignments?* How well do they treat their staff?* How are they perceived by their clients?* What type of person is successful at Hewitt?Tnx!

Lampuka (odd sounding name..anyway)Hewitt Associates have a strong reputation mainly in the business process optimisation, process efficiency, benefits realisation and business systems space. They are weak on infrastructure, IT strategy and business operations and business transforamtion. There are some sound reasons for this: the management has decided that strategic growth should be attained by concentrating on core competencies and existing strengths rather than diversifying and expanding functional and sectoral base. The business model in the current climate sounds robust, however owing to functional coverage it is susceptible to economic sensitivity.ZB

I would not touch Hewitt, they made all of their staff available for redundancy last year as they are now being run by the US. They are not winning any business in the UK, they are just servicing two major clients, one Utility and the other a petroleum company.

Hi ZB, thanks for your reply. Can you tell me more about how Hewitt's functional coverage makes them susceptible to economic sensitivity? Do you mean that their HR specialism is likely to generate less business given the current economic climate? Thanks

ZB is making fool of you, he just copy-pasted the answer from another thread (40758). It's typical of him, now we all can see the value he's bringing to his clients. ZB, how's life in BT?

* Do they get good assignments? My goodness, no.* How well do they treat their staff? It varies - some lucky staff are rewarded with release, either through redundancy or being fired, but poor performers serve penance by being made to continue working at Hewitt.* How are they perceived by their clients? Principally olfactorily. Clients briefly smell Hewitt's sh*t before booting them out of the door.* What type of person is successful at Hewitt? A developmentally challenged coprophagist with no ambition beyond one day owning their own turnip.
