Query
12.03.8 00:00

Hi All,I was wondering if anybody could provide insight into Pcubed.I am particularly interested in knowing the following:(1) What's their work culture like (especially in UK, London office)?(2) How much traveling will be involved?(3) How many consultants are there in their London office? I suppose there are around 350 consultants worlwide.(4) What are the projects and clients that they have, specifically in UK/Europe (examples)?(5) In case I join, what career oppotunities will this experience in Pcubed open for me in future? Will I be permanently labelled as a project manager instead of a business consultant (I must confess I am intrested in the latter)?(6) What's hierarchy/levels there?(7) What are the corresponding salary range for those levels?(8) Will I get the opportunity to work in different industry sectors or I will be put only in those in which I have prior experience?(9) How easy/difficult is it in Pcubed to shift base location (say from London to NY)?Anything else you know but I haven't covered above.I am aware these are quite basic questions. But their website doesn't give much info, hence my post here.Sorry for asking too many Qs and many thanks in advance!

a little bit of info

I had an int with them and also have a friend of a friend who works for them. At the time my skills were not a fit. but I like their drive. They ask all the usual questions in the interview, I guess it depends on the role you go for but I had to give a presentation. They seem a lot smaller than they first appear, but they are extremely enterprising, you very much seem to work as your own boss.Travelling obviously depends on the projects primary location.

Query,I had 4 interviews with this firm a few years ago - appeared very professional and open, but people on this forum advised that they sometimes had phantom vacancies (to gauge the market re: salary level etc..). I was informed that they would string me along and then tell me my skills were not required at the time..blah blah. I chose not to believe the comments and after 4 interviews the exact same thing as predicted happened. I have since learned that this is a regular feature of their recruitment process..ask upfront is their a direct vacancy and do they have the budget to be able to afford you (as unrealistic salary requirements as sometimes given as the reason they do not progress your application). This is however nonsense..good luck

Had the start of the same experience but had read this forum before I met them so asked outright - I "fell short" on salary expectations as I wanted (and am already on) more than they were offering. Funny I made it through the telephone interview with the same salary expectation though....!!(either they don't talk to each other or the assumption above that they gauge the market with phantom jobs is correct - I do know of this happening elsewhere so wouldn't be surprised)

I have been at Pcubed for just over three months and my experience so far has been very positive. Like some of you, I too went through four rounds of interviews prior to the offer being made and found the process was fine. Upon joining I was based in their HQ for literally a week and was then deployed to a client site. As for the working environment, everyone is very friendly and welcoming, and the engagements are challenging and rewarding.
