i am on an MBA programme with a plan to intern at any of Mckinsey,Roland Berger,World Bank or Google. Not that am not sure of what i want, i desire an opportunity to handle challenging assignment in an entrepreneurial organisation. I grad b4 my 20th birthday-2004-but with a 3.1 CGPA (out of 5) 2.2.I have a modest record creating ventures, with nice cash flows. What are the chances of my internship at any of this places with strong preference for Mckinsey.

For the obvious reasons I do not want to give too much details. However, my MBA is not from any of the Top Bschools, it's from a sch in one of the very poor African countries. It is me that is uniquely TOP!Anon thanks for ur time.I earnestly look forward to reading from u as well as from others.Regards.

Mankay,I think you should be more realistic about your possibilities. Can you prove you are top?Check out the profiles of people working for these firms - do you have the same profile?

Manky, I am sure you will hear more from Anon. Now there is not much focus on Africa mainly due to the fact that its a hotbed of corruption, having said that I know many leaders from Gambia etc that work in top positions.I find that African consultants seem to be overly enthusiastic and this is the downfall, the culture divide. Therefore I would suggest starting off with an organisation that operates in your country, getting to the TOP and then 'Moving' to another country.I would reccomend Australia as it has the weather, or France as you will pick up the language and its sunny as well. If its the UK you will find it hard adjusting to the grey skies and the 60 hour week, well for the first few weeks at least.I look forward to hearing of your further achievements.YoursTaxMan
