Now this is a slightly strange post and not related to career information but thought I would try my luck!I have a brand new property in hampshire that I need to rent out. I was speaking to a consultant who mentioned to me that some consultancies actually rent flats and then put consultants into them to save on hotel rooms etc. Is this the case and if so does anyone have any idea of departments within organisations that I can talk to? The flat is very close to IBM North Harbour. Thanks

If I'm correct, this area can be the domain of either the Facilities and Services dept or the local project Programme Management Office (PMO) function.Since you are located close to IBMs base offices, better to check in first with the local F&S dept for letting contracts.Hope this helps.

IBM will pay the rent, and the employee gets a ;per diem' which is good. IBM does not have a list of approved properties, its not shelter. Your better talking to the agencies that IBM works with ie : Manpower, Addecco.

depending on the size, I would rent it by room. If you are in a decent location, you can generally get more in total. I have a property, find the tenants myself through easyroommate or house ladder (less good than easy room mate). get a contract done by a proper lawyer. there is a website offering guidance. can't remember what it is called but plug tennant verification or something similar into a google search.I rent out my house in the UK without an agent and I do not even live in the country. Manage the whole thing myself
